Medical Officers Immediately Acted to Help Raphael Dwamena

Not only players and referees, but medical officers also went straight to Dwamena. They tried to help him immediately, even though his life could not be saved. Finally, Dwamena was declared dead at the age of 28 years. This incident made the AFL, which is the Albanian football league, quite shocked. Dwamena died just as the match between Patizani and Egnatia was taking place. The AFL extends its condolences to Dwamena’s family. Apart from that, the AFL also expressed condolences to the Egnatia club for losing Dwamena.

The Ghana Football Federation also explained that Dwamena had died. The association was also saddened by Dwamena’s death. Dwamena previously played in the Spanish League. He joined Levante from 2018 to 2020. He was also a player who was loaned by the Real Zaragoza club for a short time in 2019. Then he also appeared in La Liga 12 times. Before collapsing, Dwamena’s heart condition was not good. He experienced this problem when competing in the Swiss League with the Blau-Beis Linz club in 2021. Dwamena was rushed to the hospital during that time. Then news circulated that the Albanian Football Federation did not act professionally when Dwamena collapsed. However, the Albanian Football Federation immediately denied these accusations, and they have implemented appropriate health protocols. During the match, the team provided an ambulance complete with medical equipment and a defibrillator. Media officers were also ready when they were required by players on the field at any time.
